Image 231 is just a quick silly doodle.
Image 232 was a kick. Doodling is so fun because at the start you don't know who or what will show up. I was delighted when Cassie said hello.
In Image 233 a little spider dropped in to say hello. He's a tad disappointed with an empty web. Mixed media.
Image 234 came from a squiggle. Black and gold pens.
For image 235 I used gelly pens to add a bit of color, however, had to use an artist marker for the face.
Image 236. I purchased a large set of Sharpie Pens in fine and ultra fine points. This doodle was to get a feel for the various colors and the pens. The Sharpies bleed a lot and quite fast--a liability, but will continue to work with them for a time. I really liked the gelly pens but the points give out when the ink is about a quarter gone.
I like how the pink stair steps turned out. Fun.
Image 237 is stencil doodling with pen and color pencils. The center used a flexible wax stencil for hena painting.
With image 238 I first divided the design into sections and then colored each section with a Sharpie. I kept the colors to just three to keep it from being too busy. See how pretty the lower part is compared to the middle and upper--that's all due to the lighting when I snapped the photo. Kind of cool though as it gives the impression of being 3-D.
In image 239 I began with the center and worked out, designing as I went along. The gold came out rather dull, perhaps white would have been brighter.
Image 240 flowed from my pen. No particular reason. I like this character though. Took about an hour to draw before coloring so is also included in Quickies.
