Doodling Sites

In no particular order, here are a few sites to whet your creative appetite. A search engine will bring up as many as you want to explore. These are my favorites.

doodlage - just monkeying around

A write-up on this joyfuldia-doodle-art site.

www.art-is-fun.com

On Thaneeya McArdle's "Art is Fun" site she shares everything she knows about art and art-making... from how to paint abstract art to how to sharpen your colored pencils. The site also includes information about various art styles and subject matter, along with insightful interviews with featured artists. A delightful and informative place to visit.

www.thaneeya.com

The colorful work of Thaneeya McArdle draws you into a vibrant world of creativity and imagination! I can say the same for her black and white pen and ink art. Creative and versatile her work is both candy for the eye and food for the soul.

The Doodle Daily
http://thedoodledaily.com
The official blog for Tjomies Vintage Stationery. Warren has set himself the challenge of posting a new "doodle" every day. A site worth your visit, and also to check out the ongoing World Doodle Challenge that began in 2010.

http://EliHelman.com

Original pen & ink drawing illustration by Self-taught, Outsider, Maximalist artist Eli Helman. Unique whimsical abstract surreal quirky wacky intricate detail pattern art artwork. That pretty well covers it except I'd add: magnificant and inspiring art that wows me over!

http://marcel-art.com

A beautiful website. Marcel describes his art as, "I'm quite taken by organic shapes: cell structures, woodnerves, leaves, branches. It's simply the environment that supplies me with the basic forms."

Sandy Bartholomew's tangle blog. Sandy wrote the awesome book,  Totally Tangled.

Miscellaneous

Here's the place where I list special sites not directily related to doodling.

Dr. Judith Cornell

http://mandala-universe.com/welcome.html

Dr. Cornell was the most influencial person in directing my art early on. Although I went the way of doodles, she gave me the courage to listen to the light within and strike off in a new direction. It wasn't until a year or two after I began doodling that I was surprised to discover other artists were also drawing lin a similar fashion as me. I owe much to this lovely, talented, and very spiritual woman who touched my life with her work. Dr. Cornell transitioned from this life on May 10, 2010.

Small Paws Rescue

www.smallpawsrescue.org

This is the website of an incredible rescue organization for the Bichon Frise. We have adopted two wonderful Bichons from them and they are both such happy, loving little girls. It's worth a visit to their site just for an education on puppy mills. This organization and the work they do is dear to my heart.

Aunt Dimity's World
www.aunt-dimity.com

Nancy Atherton is a cozy mystery writer and in April 2012 her 17th book in the Aunt Dimity series was released. My husband and I are fans, and I happen to have the pleasure of webmastering her website.
